Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you use the frixB website, contact us, or book a strategy call with our product team.

Last updated: November 1, 2026 | Applies to www.frixb.com

The short version

These terms cover your use of the frixB website and early conversations with us, like inquiries and strategy calls. Paid work is governed by a separate signed agreement, and that agreement wins if anything here conflicts with it. You own what you pay us to build, once paid in full, unless your agreement says otherwise. Use the site lawfully and we will treat what you share with us with care.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by frixB (Pvt) Ltd.

2. Accepting these terms

By using this website at www.frixb.com (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

3. Eligibility and authority

The Site is meant for businesses and professionals. By using it, you confirm that:

  • you are at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live; and
  • if you use the Site on behalf of a company or other organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind it to these Terms, and "you" includes that organisation.

4. Site content is for information only

Content on the Site, including blog posts, case studies, pricing guides, and service descriptions, is general information. It is not professional, legal, financial, or technical advice for your situation.

  • Starting prices are indicative. Prices shown as "starting from" are not quotes or offers. Final pricing is set only in a written proposal or agreement.
  • Results vary. Case study results reflect specific projects. They do not promise similar results for your product.
  • Content can change. We may update or remove Site content at any time without notice.

5. Inquiries and strategy calls

When you fill in our contact form or book a strategy call:

  • no contract or client relationship is formed until both parties sign a written agreement;
  • strategy calls are free and do not oblige you to hire us, or us to accept a project;
  • our stated response time (within one business day) is a goal, not a guarantee;
  • any advice given on a call is general and based only on what you share during it; and
  • please do not share highly sensitive information, such as passwords, production credentials, or personal data about your users, before an agreement and NDA are in place.

We handle the information you submit as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Proposals, agreements, and which document wins

Paid work is governed by a separate written agreement. Depending on the project, this may include a proposal, Master Services Agreement (MSA), Statement of Work (SOW), Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), and Data Processing Agreement (DPA). Together, these are the "Project Agreement".

  • If a Project Agreement conflicts with these Terms, the Project Agreement wins.
  • Unless a Project Agreement says otherwise, the more specific document controls the matter it covers. For example, a DPA controls data protection terms and a SOW controls the scope of that project.
  • Proposals are valid for the period stated in each proposal.

7. Fees and payment

Fees, billing schedules, deposits, currency, taxes, and late payment terms are set in each Project Agreement. Nothing on the Site creates a payment obligation.

8. Your responsibilities as a client

Good projects depend on both sides. Unless your Project Agreement says otherwise, you agree to:

  • give us accurate, timely information, feedback, and approvals;
  • provide access to the accounts, systems, and assets we need for the work;
  • make sure you have the rights to any materials you give us, such as logos, content, code, data, and third-party licences;
  • keep your own backups of systems and data you share with us; and
  • tell us before sharing any personal data, so we can agree the right safeguards first.

Delays in feedback, access, or approvals may affect timelines and fees as set out in your Project Agreement.

9. Acceptable use of the Site

When using the Site, you must not:

  • break any law or anyone's rights;
  • submit false, misleading, or someone else's information;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers, or connected systems;
  • introduce malware or disrupt the Site's operation;
  • scrape, copy, or harvest Site content or data by automated means, except as allowed by our robots.txt or with our written permission; or
  • use the Site to send spam or unsolicited marketing.

10. Intellectual property in the Site

The Site and its content, including text, design, graphics, illustrations, logos, case studies, and code, belong to frixB or our licensors. You may view and share Site pages for personal or internal business use. You may not copy, republish, or use them commercially without our written permission.

The frixB name and logo are our brand assets. Client names and logos shown on the Site belong to their owners and appear with their permission.

11. Intellectual property in client work

Ownership of project work is set by your Project Agreement. Unless it says otherwise:

  • Your materials stay yours. You keep ownership of everything you give us.
  • Deliverables transfer on full payment. When you have paid all fees for a deliverable, we assign to you our rights in the final deliverables made specifically for you.
  • Our tools stay ours. We keep ownership of our pre-existing know-how, frameworks, templates, components, and internal tools. Where these are built into your deliverables, you get a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual licence to use them as part of those deliverables.
  • Open source and third-party items stay under their own licences. We will flag any material ones in the project.
  • Unused concepts and drafts remain ours unless the Project Agreement says otherwise.

12. AI-assisted workflows and human oversight

We use AI tools to speed up parts of our work, such as research synthesis, interface exploration, prototyping, code scaffolding, and testing. People stay in charge.

  • Our designers and engineers direct, review, and approve AI-assisted work before it is delivered or released to production.
  • You are responsible for final acceptance testing, and for any legal, regulatory, or industry review your product needs before launch.
  • We will not put your confidential information or personal data into AI tools except as allowed by your Project Agreement and our Privacy Policy.
  • If you have rules about AI use, for example no AI tools at all, or only approved tools, tell us before work starts and we will put them in your Project Agreement.

14. Confidentiality

We treat non-public business information you share with us in an inquiry or call as confidential. We use it only to assess and discuss working with you, and share it only with team members and contractors who need it and are bound by confidentiality duties.

This does not cover information that is public, already known to us, independently developed, or lawfully received from someone else. We may disclose information where the law requires it.

For full protection, we are happy to sign a mutual NDA before detailed discussions. Once signed, the NDA or Project Agreement replaces this section.

15. Portfolio and case studies

We like to show our work, and we do it carefully. Unless your NDA or Project Agreement says otherwise:

  • we may show limited visuals of public-facing work, such as a few screens or pages, in our portfolio; and
  • we never share source files, internal documents, or anything you have told us is confidential.

We will ask for your approval before publishing a detailed case study, metrics, or testimonial. You can ask us to remove portfolio material at any time by emailing [email protected], and we will do so within a reasonable time.

16. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that the Site will always be available, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that its content is complete or current.

Warranties for paid work, if any, are set only in your Project Agreement.

17. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • frixB is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site; and
  • liability for paid work is governed only by your Project Agreement.

18. Indemnity

You agree to cover frixB against claims, losses, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or materials you give us that infringe someone else's rights.

19. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or block access to the Site, or stop responding to an inquiry, if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms or the law. Ending a paid engagement is governed by your Project Agreement. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as intellectual property, confidentiality, disclaimers, liability, and governing law, continue to apply.

20. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

Before starting formal proceedings, both parties agree to try to resolve the issue in good faith by email to [email protected] for at least 30 days or alternative disputes resolution clauses set out in the separate service agreements with the clients.

21. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when the current version took effect. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site. Using the Site after an update means you accept the new Terms. Changes do not affect a signed Project Agreement.

22. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the full agreement about your use of the Site. Paid work is covered by your Project Agreement.
  • Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
  • No waiver. Not enforcing a right now does not mean we give it up.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer ours as part of a reorganisation, merger, or sale.
  • Language. These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version prevails.
